I am so honored to announce that our shop has been selected to participate in Vintage Market Days in Columbus on October 12-14th…and Vintage Market Days of Central Cleveland on October 27th-29th!! Be sure to click on both of these events if you’re in the area and follow their Facebook pages, too!
VMD™ is an upscale vintage and vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring carefully curated original art, antiques, home decor, clothing, handmade treasures, jewelry, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings and a little more. Vintage Market Days was named by Country Living Magazine as “7 Flea Markets & Barn Sales Not to Miss”.
As you know, our blog has been all about getting the “high-end look” for your home –for less! We stumbled into the world of DIY as a way to make our home pretty but to save money. Through our own experimentation we’ve passed along thousands of little tricks that we hope will help you, too, beautify your home on a budget. With Vintage Market Days, this is a chance to visit us in a real, live setting where we’ll be able to offer some of our most popular DIY creations (including the dog crate table and the cathedral windows) as well as vintage-inspired decor that I would be proud to display in my own home.
What this means? I finally can start crafting again! With our home being nearly finished and DIY slowing down (that is, until we relocate) this evolution makes sense for us. I made this little commercial about the things you can expect to see in our booth…click the arrow on the cow image for a quick overview:
This begs the question…what do you buy when you attend a vintage market? What items are you tired of seeing? I’d love to know!
I still love dark walls and light furniture and decor. So I created a concept of my dream booth below…black and white, neutrals and lots of greenery. I’ll be somewhat holiday-neutral but still honor the seasons. Designing a booth takes some creativity and investment, but I sure hope it will grow up to look like this someday!
We are excited, nervous, but mostly thrilled to finally step out as a real, live shop and chat with other vendors. We have a lot to learn!!! With less than a month left to prepare, we’re going to be insanely busy! Expect to see me doing more Facebook Live videos as well as Instagram but if I’m quiet here on the blog you’ll know why 😉
Any tips that you can offer? Do you do pop up shows?
Hope to see you there at both shows, wish us good luck! We need it!
