I am a sucker for old post cards, or anything vintage. And when it comes to art, the larger the better. I realize that “theme” decorating may not be everyone’s thing, but that’s what we are attempting to do with our industrial basement remodel, and this poster art definitely spoke to me.
But don’t you love the irony of this piece? I had to actually stop and think for a second when I read “Wireless World” then looked at the date, 1916? But that’s the reference to the telegraph at the time. Cool, huh? If you’re wondering where you can purchase this, hop on over to Art.com.
I’ve mentioned about 30 times that I introduce color into my home with accents, art, pillows, etc., right? Well, I love the subtle color combinations here, and for a neutral-lover like me, even I see potential for a lot of tangerine accents in a room with this baby gracing the room.
To think for a second that I was planning to cut this up into small pieces and Mod Podge it onto a table. But I came to my senses and rolled it back up…now I’m thinking of adding this in my industrial / vintage basement decor. Even though I have the rock & roll theme going…I still think this may have found it’s home.
