Christina, technically (I’ve since learned) wax isn’t the “welcome” technique for outdoor use. So a poly would be best to protect it from the elements. Wax tends to get sticky and melt so an alternative top coat like the ones you’re using would be best. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve never used wax before, only poly (which can sometimes change the whole look of the piece i’m working on).
