We hired someone to do the ceiling and he used a sprayer. He painted everything including the pipes. We had NO issues with the exposed pipes and loved having it. we have since sold that house and are writing about our new remodel. Our new ceiling has drywall and we’ve already had water issues with it. Hope this help!

1. did you spray paint (with a paint gun) the ceilings? What color?
2. what about exposed pipes like hot water and cold water – do you recommend painting those as well?
3. any long-term issues with not closing up the ceiling?

we have water pipes (red & Blue plastic) all throughout, and we can’t really “hide” them anywhere as they go across (under) our posts. I didn’t want to drywall up the ceiling as i wouldn’t be able to get to anything (clean outs, pipes, etc) and didn’t want to drop-ceiling, and LOVE your industrial look, and it looks like it would just be simply cheaper to paint it!

Looking at the painting, it appears very similar to the work of Guido Odierna from Sicily back in the 1950’s and his works have values up to $5000. I hope you did not destroy a fantastic piece of art with wallpaper covering. It would be a shame. I hope you did some research on the painting before covering it over. Sometimes thrift store buys are real treasures.

I hopefully will be moving to my final home but waiting is hard. Our last 2 houses were sold to us with hidden problems and the house was ruined and too late to sue. Or sweet daughter was murdered and our life has been hard with loosing my best friend and other friends I am lonely. I love fixing my home I have right now. I’m looking for some good luck and friends. Amazing how people will tell me they have enough friends? Anyway I am loving what I see.
